We ask the question how EU legislation impacts media diversity across Europe. By gathering experts from media, politics, academics and other relevant sectors, the Future Media Lab. is raising a debate about the influence of legislative files, such as data protection regulation, VAT, AVMS, copyright, and competition law on a free, independent, diverse and vibrant media that is so crucial for Europe’s democratic society. The Future Media Lab. Annual Conference in January 2015 staged a debate on media diversity in the digital age.
