Interested in submitting content to our blog? The Future Media Lab. invites members of our network to submit a guest post on our blog. Feel free to use this space to showcase a project, tell a success story, pose a question or challenge to others – the option is yours!
What type of content do you accept?
The Future Media Lab. will accept posts that are useful to our readers. We are particularly interested in news and personal experiences that are related to the main issues we follow. But feel free to get creative!
At times, we will also send out requests for guest posts on topics to the Future Media Lab. network who have expressed interest in guest blogging. If you are interested in joining this network, please email a request to [email protected]
Post requirements
Length: There is no minimum or maximum length requirement, but we prefer that posts are at least 150 words. Remember that longer posts may be daunting. Longer posts should be broken up by subheadings.
Author Bio + photo: Guest posts should include a short author biography and a photo of the author.
Linking to content: Guest bloggers may link to their own content within the post, but this is subject to review.
Images: We strongly encourage authors to include a feature image with their submission.
By submitting your post(s), you acknowledge that your post(s) belong to the Future Media Lab. and will be credited to the author. Also, by submission, you allow the Future Media Lab. to share your comments publically.
Reviewing Submissions
The Future Media Lab. reserves the right to review submissions and edit for grammar. We will not make changes to the content, but may make stylistic changes so that it better fits with the presentation of the blog. If a submission needs improvement, we will return it to you with suggestions.
No payment will be involved for guest blog content.
The Future Media Lab. also reserves the right to create links within a submitted text to other websites, pages or posts in the Future Media Lab. network (including company websites and previous blog posts).
Publishing of the blog post will be done at the discretion of the Future Media Lab. After a post is approved, it may be several days before it is actually published.
The Future Media Lab. reserves the right to decline publishing any post or to remove a post after it has been published.
Images
Images are great for garnering attention and will be accepted. They should be low-res .jpeg files. You must have permission to use an image and attribute it properly. If you do not submit an image, the Future Media Lab. may include one with your post at our discretion.
Final Thoughts
• The post must be grammatically correct and well-written in a “blog” style (use short paragraphs or bullet points to make the post easier to digest)
• The post must not include marketing-related links and must not be entirely self-promotional. This is why we include an author byline.
• Posts must be original and may not have been published elsewhere online already
• The Future Media Lab. reserves the write to verify originality using online tools
• Of course, Spam, pornography, offensive content, and profanity are not accepted.
