The Future Media Lab. is pleased to announce our 4th conference: “The Future of Content: Innovations in Content Creation, Consumption and Dissemination”. The conference, which will take place on 21 January 2014 in Brussels, aims to bring together media experts, key stakeholders, and politicians to address the future of professional journalistic content and business models and look at content from the angle of innovations in technology.
In this context, the big question of the day — among others — during the World Café format interactive session will be is: How will professional journalistic content be funded in the future?
21 January 2014 // 8.30-14.30h, Brussels // The Square, rue Ravenstein 2

The structure of the day will be similar to past Future Media Lab. conferences. The day will begin with a panel on “The Future of Content” including Director General Robert Madelin (DG Connect / European Commission) and incoming Director General Xavier Prats Monné (DG EAC / European Commission), followed by a keynote address and a panel discussion on the business model question to help set the scene for the workshop sessions. The core of the event will be the interactive workshops, where the participants will gather in small, diverse groups to discuss the questions of the day in more depth. The outcomes of these working group sessions will be presented to the audience at the end. The event will conclude with a panel discussion on innovations in journalism that ties in the outcomes of the workshop sessions.
