The next Future Media Lounge will take place on Tuesday, 5 September 2017 from 18.00-20.00h. This session will examine the European Commission’s proposal for a regulation on Privacy and Electronic Communications. Its possible implications on the business model of press publishers and therefore the funding of trusted journalism will be debated as well as its potential impact on media diversity and access to journalistic content for European citizens. The session is co-organised with EDAA (the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance) and will therefore include a presentation of the cross-industry self-regulation initiative to enhance transparency, user choice and control over Online Behavioural Advertising.
